Our 501(c)(3) status is pending. SFCESD is a New Mexico nonprofit in formation. Until the IRS has recognized us as a tax-exempt organization, we are not collecting donations online, and we cannot promise that gifts are tax-deductible.
Once we are ready to accept support, it will go toward the public programs described on our Programs page.

Why can I not donate yet?
SFCESD is still being formed as a New Mexico nonprofit, and our 501(c)(3) status is pending. We want to be ready to receive and steward gifts properly before we ask for them.
Will my gift be tax-deductible?
We cannot make promises about tax treatment until the IRS has recognized our 501(c)(3) status. When that changes, we will say so here. Please talk with your own tax advisor about your situation.
How will I know when giving opens?
We will announce it on this page and through our Meetup groups. You can also email us and ask to be told.
